Abstract

As an essential strategic mineral in the new energy industry chain, lithium resources are crucial to China’s energy transition and national security. Argentina, as one of the core countries in the “Lithium Triangle,” has its political stability, policy direction, and international cooperation stance directly impacting the global supply structure of lithium resources. This paper uses the Overall National Security Concept as an analytical framework to explore how Argentina’s domestic political landscape and policies affect China’s lithium industry supply chain and offers corresponding countermeasures and recommendations.
