Since its proposal, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) has attracted widespread attention both domestically and internationally, becoming a window for showcasing China’s national image. This study uses China Daily’s reports from 2018 to 2022 as a sample and applies a corpus-based research method combined with Python. It investigates the reporting characteristics, image construction features, and optimization pathways by analyzing trends, word frequency, sources, themes, and regional distribution. The study finds that: (1) the newspaper shapes a distinct economic image of the GBA, but it should strengthen the portrayal of the region’s cultural identity; (2) there is an uneven regional distribution in the reports, and efforts should be made to promote balanced development in the Bay Area; (3) the reporting perspective is predominantly official; and (4) the diversity of information channels should be expanded.

This study addresses the psychological health needs of urban single youth by innovatively combining emotional design with smart technology, resulting in the development of dynamic, interactive healing furniture. By utilizing the unconscious act of “sitting down” and an adjustable mechanical structure, the design of a chair capable of providing a warm, embracing sensation is introduced. This design not only focuses on physical comfort during use but also incorporates cultural symbols to evoke emotional resonance. After several rounds of technical improvement, the chair demonstrates excellent performance in terms of stability and interactive fluidity. Physiological indicator efficacy verification data show that it effectively alleviates anxiety and improves physiological relaxation. This design breaks the static limitations of traditional furniture and offers psychological support tools that naturally integrate into the daily lives of individuals living alone. Furthermore, it explores new design approaches that combine technology and culture, with plans to expand its adaptability to more cultural scenarios in the future.

Implicit communication in advertising goes beyond the mere transmission of product information; it subtly engages the audience’s emotions, values, and sense of social identity through the strategic use of cultural symbols, thereby influencing consumer behavior. This paper aims to explore the mechanisms of implicit communication in advertising and its impact on consumer behavior, highlighting the critical role of cultural symbols in the communication process. By analyzing how advertisements skillfully employ symbols to resonate with the audience's emotions, values, and sense of belonging, this study reveals that advertising is not merely a vehicle for information dissemination but also a form of deep cultural and social exchange. Drawing on the theoretical framework of media semiotics, the paper provides analytical support for uncovering the hidden cultural meanings behind advertisements, offering insights into how symbols construct emotional resonance and social identity, ultimately shaping consumer decision-making.

With the continuous advancement of new engineering education, the course of Robot Programming and Application, as a core course in the field of intelligent manufacturing, has an urgent need for teaching reform. This study focuses on the application practice of a blended teaching model based on the Learning Pass platform and the BOPPPS teaching model in this course. By constructing a teaching system covering "pre-class autonomous learning, in-class interactive exploration, and post-class extension and improvement", and deeply integrating the six key links of the BOPPPS model, this study has achieved comprehensive optimization in teaching methods, teaching content, and teaching evaluation. The practical results show that the application of this blended teaching model can effectively break through the time and space limitations of traditional classrooms, enabling students to learn anytime and anywhere in fragmented time, and promoting interaction and communication between teachers and students. This has a significant promoting effect on stimulating students' learning initiative and improving teaching quality, and is highly feasible. In addition, this blended teaching model has performed outstandingly in significantly enhancing students' learning interest and practical ability, providing a valuable reference and inspiration for the teaching reform of related courses under the background of new engineering education.

In the digital age, sensitive personal information of elderly individuals is highly vulnerable to infringement, and the consequences of such infringements can be severe. Although the Personal Information Protection Law currently provides rules for protecting sensitive personal information, it does not adequately address the unique characteristics of elderly people, and there are challenges in making these rules age-appropriate. This article specifically addresses issues faced in the protection of elderly individuals’ sensitive personal information, such as “excessive collection, illegal processing, and lack of recourse,” and proposes age-appropriate improvements, including “regulating informed consent, clarifying processing standards, and improving remedy pathways,” in order to prevent and resolve security risks related to the sensitive personal information of elderly individuals, and to build an elderly-friendly digital society.

In recent years, the extensive discussion of gender issues in society and the media change have triggered a re-examination of the definition of beauty. This study explores the diversification of Victoria’s Secret’s “Angels” media image from 2005 to 2024, emphasizing the pivotal roles of feminist developments and the all-media environment in driving this transformation. Through content analysis of objective data of Victoria's Secret Angels, the research demonstrates how the Body Positivity movement, #MeToo, and intersectional feminism catalyzed the brand’s shift toward inclusive representations of age, body diversity, and multiculturalism. The all-media environment, particularly platforms like Instagram and TikTok, amplified feminist critiques and enabled global audiences to challenge traditional beauty norms through user-generated content (e.g., memes, hashtag activism). These dynamics facilitated the gradual inclusion of non-white, non-slender, and older models, reflecting a broader cultural reckoning with gender equality. While contradictions persist, the study argues that feminist advocacy and digital participatory culture collectively reshaped the “Angels” from a monolithic symbol of hypersexuality into a contested yet progressive icon of inclusivity. This analysis contributes to understanding how media ecosystems and social movements collaboratively redefine gendered representations in the digital era.

This essay critically explores the complex relationship between higher education and employment in the UK. Against a backdrop of government-led expansion since the 1990s, higher education has increasingly been framed as a means to promote social mobility and meet the demands of a knowledge-based economy. Drawing on policy analysis and academic literature, this study examines three key government initiatives - the Aimhigher programme, Degree Apprenticeships, and the Augar Review - as case studies of policy interventions aimed at improving graduate employability and widening participation. The study finds that although these policies have expanded access to university education, they have had limited success in addressing structural inequalities and labour market challenges. It highlights how credential inflation, intensified by economic stagnation and rising graduate numbers, has diminished the labour market value of degrees and raised qualification thresholds. Furthermore, the study shows that social class, ethnicity, and gender continue to influence graduate outcomes, with disadvantaged students facing persistent barriers in elite university admissions, degree attainment, and access to high-paying jobs. The study concludes that while higher education policies aim to foster inclusion and employability, they often fail to disrupt deeply entrenched social inequalities. Addressing these issues requires a more holistic approach that aligns education policy with broader social and economic reforms.
