Parents' use of video to record their children's lives can be used to capture important moments in their children's lives and be used for sharing, documentation, and future reflection. However, due to the variety and large amount of video collections of children's life material, it is impossible to quickly and accurately respond to the motivation behind the material, predict subsequent behaviors, and assess the importance of the material. Therefore, this study employs the affinity diagram method to effectively analyze and process relevant data, identify user behavioral and psychological patterns, and thus build a user model. In this study, 17 interviewees from Australia were recruited and selected. Interview questions from 17 participants were recorded in audio format as raw research materials, and the interview data were organized using the affinity diagram technique. Through the analysis, it is found that the participants' behavioral trends can be classified into six different theme groups, and six typical findings are presented, mainly including Technology, Content of videos, Storage, Sharing, Memory of video, and Emotional value of videos and so on. After the analysis, it is it was learned that the emotional value of videos had the greatest impact, which can provide a reference for other researchers' subsequent studies.

With the update and iteration of network technology, multimedia technology and mobile equipment, the short video industry has developed rapidly and has become the most used network product in the society. It has the characteristics of visualization, fragmentation and facilitation, so that when teenagers need a short rest, they cannot consciously turn on their mobile phones to watch short videos. Over time, they may be immersed in it and enjoy the pleasant leisure and rich knowledge brought by short videos. However, the popularity of short videos has also led to some problems, including overindulgence, easy access to bad information and threats to online security. Through in-depth research and analysis of relevant literature and data, as well as understanding of adolescent mental health, the author finds that over-indulgence in short videos has affected adolescent mental health to a certain extent, such as addiction, distraction, social isolation and other problems. Therefore, targeted suggestions and countermeasures are put forward to guide young people to use short videos rationally. Including personal self-management, family and school education, short video platform supervision and other aspects of measures to reduce teenagers' excessive addiction to short video behavior, in order to promote the healthy growth of teenagers, call on all sectors of society to pay attention to teenagers' excessive addiction to short video may bring mental health problems, promote social attention to this problem and solve.

With the acceleration of globalization and urbanization, films, as a cultural medium, not only reflect social realities but also construct a unique imagery of urban spaces. As an international metropolis, Hong Kong’s urban image has been extensively portrayed in films. Infernal Affairs, a classic of Hong Kong cinema, not only tells the story of an undercover struggle between the police and the triads but also, through its distinctive depiction of urban spaces, reveals cultural connotations unique to Hong Kong.

Comparative literature is a field that has developed heavily in the age of globalisation and has a crucial role to play in understanding the increasingly complex networks of interconnectedness between literary works across different cultural settings. Drawing upon data collected from survey and interview, this paper discusses the implications of globalisation for the field of comparative literature, as it relates to translation and adaptation, and digital dissemination. The integration of interdisciplinary fields such as digital humanities, transmedia studies and global cultural studies is proposed, and accepted by 85 per cent of scholars as the future direction for the field of comparative literature. The paper argues that comparative literature has become a crucial field in promoting cross-cultural dialogue, and the transmutability of cultural forms. It also demonstrates how global literary networks have been strengthened with the diffusion of the internet, and the increasing influence of the digital sphere in the field of Comparative Literature.

As our world has become more and more globalised, educational spaces have become amalgamations of different cultures, where different ways of life are the norm rather than the exception. This paper is concerned with the effect of globalisation and cross-cultural ideological and political education. It focuses on what happens when educators are faced with the challenge of teaching core values to a diverse group of students with very different cultural backgrounds. It addresses this problem through a discussion of cultural resistance, the risk of cultural misinterpretations, as well as the need to strike a balance between inclusivity and exclusivity in shared understanding of core values. Furthermore, it presents some potential solutions to this problem, such as culturally responsive curriculum design, the role of educational professionals in acting as cultural mediators and the deployment of co-learning rooms. The study concludes by demonstrating how achieving the right balance between these forms of solutions in an educational setting can be determined quantitatively and qualitatively. This study contributes to the field of cross-cultural education and provides some practical solutions for educators in a globalised world.

This study explores the application of audiovisual language in short videos on the TIKTOK platform and its impact on content creators and the platform. By analyzing the video content of the popular TIKTOK account "San Jin Qi Qi," the research examines the key role of audiovisual language in enhancing user experience and promoting video dissemination. The study employs a case analysis method, selecting representative videos to investigate the specific application of audiovisual elements such as color, lighting, composition, and camera movement. It also analyzes user comments to understand how these elements influence emotional resonance and interactive behavior. The results show that well-designed audiovisual language significantly enhances viewers' immersion and emotional connection, boosting the artistic value and communicative power of the videos. Additionally, it fosters user interaction and engagement, further improving the overall dissemination effect of the videos. The study concludes that the successful application of audiovisual language is a crucial factor for creators in attracting audiences and enhancing the platform's competitiveness. Future research could explore the differences in the application of audiovisual language across different platforms.

This paper aims to explore the current status and challenges of international student education in China, with a focus on cross-cultural adaptation and institutional policies optimisation. It comes at a time when China is attracting more international students than ever, as part of the Belt and Road Initiative. However, international students also report significant cross-cultural adaptation challenges, including language issues, insufficient administrative support, and limited opportunities for social integration. This study, using a mixed-method approach that combines quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews, mainly with international students and university administrators from 10 leading Chinese universities, found that language proficiency is the biggest barrier to academic integration (78% of respondents reported it as a major barrier), and institutional support to cross-cultural adaptation often lags behind. For example, only 38% of international students felt that their universities provided sufficient support for cross-cultural adaption. The paper recommends reinforcing language support, providing cross-cultural sensitivity training for staff, and creating structured mentorship programmes to improve international students’ academic and social integration in China.

This mini-review explores various forms of risky sexual behavior (RSB) among adolescents with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), emphasizing the neurodevelopmental factors, family dynamics, and peer influences that contribute to these behaviors. Adolescents with BPD often experience emotional dysregulation and impulsivity, which increase their vulnerability to engaging in RSB, including promiscuity, unprotected sex, and sexting. A neurodevelopmental perspective highlights the role of brain immaturity in exacerbating impulsivity and emotional sensitivity during adolescence. Additionally, family structures, particularly emotionally abusive environments and insecure attachments, significantly contribute to the onset of BPD symptoms and related RSB. Peer influence, especially through social networks promoting risky sexual norms, further exacerbates these behaviors. Finally, RSB's detrimental impact on adolescent mental health, including increased emotional instability and vulnerability to victimization, is discussed. Future research should focus on interventions that target both familial and peer-related factors to mitigate RSB among adolescents with BPD.

The flooding crisis has raised significant public safety concerns, spotlighting the challenges and opportunities of leveraging social media in disaster management. Given the rising frequency of urban flooding in China, young adults’ social media information behaviours play a pivotal role in disaster responses. Therefore, this study explores the critical factors influencing disaster information sharing among young adults during extreme urban flood events. Using a quantitative research methodology, researcher conducted an online survey with 613 young adults from flood-prone urban areas. The structural analysis results confirmed that social media dependency significantly influences self-efficacy and perceived severity, all of which positively correlated with the intention to share urban flood information. However, no significant relationship was observed between social media dependency and urban flood information–sharing behaviour. The findings underscore the importance of prioritising consideration of individual psychological factors when formulating disaster communication strategies. Additionally, it offers distinctive insights into the prospective utilisation of social media in flood communication.

As world openness expands and science and technology advance unprecedentedly, Chinese people's perception of sexual behavior has shifted towards a more open and inclusive manner. No longer limited to the reproductive function, their perception highlights the pursuit of harmony and pleasure in the connection between love and sexual behavior. In the current social and cultural environment, sadomasochism (SM) with unconventional sexual practices is gradually being recognized by the younger generation today. In this study, the attitudes and perceptions of today's youth on SM are discussed, and the role and impacts of gender roles on SM behavior are analyzed. Based on traditional recognition of gender roles in social structure as well as sexual attitudes in Confucianism, this paper explores how these traditional perceptions shape young people's perceptions and behaviors toward SM. Online interviews were conducted via SM platforms, together with offline interviews, to collect the views of youth around the age of 20. It is found that young people's perceptions and preference for SM behavior are mainly attributed to the novel, unique, and thrilling experiences that it offers. Delving deeper, it is found that although SM behavior subverts traditional sexual norms to a certain extent, gender roles remain prevalent with men more likely to assume dominant roles and women favoring submissive roles.
