In the background of globalization, the development of the Internet and media has brought countries around the world closer together, and cultural communication has become more frequent. Japanese film culture is also playing a more important role around the world. This article takes the Chinese version of the film Hachi: A Dog’s Tale adapted from the Japanese screenplay ハチ公 as an example, combines the relationship between structure and events, globalization theory and localization theory, and takes the localized adaptation of this film as the starting point to discuss the enlightenment of Japanese film and television culture to the development direction of Chinese film and television from multiple perspectives such as casting and location. It will talk about relevant policies, cultivating talents, and maintaining innovative practices from the aspects of government, enterprises and individuals, as well as the importance of maintaining cultural uniqueness in the process of localization, and finally provide new ideas for the development of China’s film industry.

In March, the ICC issued an arrest warrant for Putin, meaning that International Criminal Court (ICC) member states, including South Africa, are obliged to arrest him and transfer him to The Hague for trial if he sets foot on any of their territories. But the recent indictment of the South African government for its public refusal to execute an arrest warrant as a member of the International Court of Justice has again raised questions about international crime and the willingness of states to get involved in it. This paper attempts to discuss the relevant issues of universal jurisdiction from the perspective of case studies, normative analysis and social effects of legal norms, and finally concludes that universal jurisdiction lacks the necessary elements to form customary international law at the level of legal norms, and universal jurisdiction fails to achieve its purpose at the level of practical effects, and lacks the rationality of existence. At the same time, given the current reality of the exercise of universal jurisdiction, this paper suggests that the types of international crimes should be strictly limited, the universal jurisdiction should be separated from states, and the authority of the exclusive jurisdiction of the international court for international crimes should be established.

With the emergence of a new round of scientific and technological revolution characterized by intelligence, China has made rapid progress in the field of artificial intelligence. However, this new concept of artificial intelligence has not yet been fully integrated into the existing legal system, leading to legal dilemmas and systemic obstacles such as unclear attribution of the work, uncertain subject of the right, and unclear path of protection for the content generated by it. The traditional copyright protection model, concerning the generation of artificial intelligence, shows obvious maladaptation in terms of copyright generation, protection period, and content. Hence, there is a need to explore a copyright protection model suitable for artificial intelligence, namely the neighboring rights protection model, while considering relevant legislative practices from other countries dealing with AI-generated content. This paper aims to investigate the neighboring right protection model, which is an adaptable copyright protection model for AI-generated objects, and to draw insights from overseas legislative practices on AI-generated objects.

The United States has always been a significant country in the world. And its major economic problems caused by various reasons (e.g., health events or collapsing of the financial system) are widely noticed around the world. They can also affect other regions and countries to a greater extent. The paper examines several major financial events in U.S. history based on a literature survey and case study approach in chronological order, namely, the Great Depression, the U.S. subprime mortgage crisis, and the economic recession to recovery since the New Crown epidemic, the paper as well as shows the macroeconomic policy regulation and policy effects adopted by different governments behind them, and finally gives relevant economic policy recommendations. This paper points out the uncertainty of economic policies and the impact of policy implementation on other countries especially countries which close contact with America. And the policies adopted by the U.S. government in getting out of several economic events have solved specific problems. They are worthy of being used by governments today to prevent related situations, reduce the impact of financial losses on society, make the government vigilant, and take strict precautions.

The period of the Republic of China is an important period in Chinese history. It started from the 1911 Revolution when the Republic of China was established and continued until the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949. During this period, although there were some efforts to improve the status of women, the status of women was not fully improved and was still limited by many traditional concepts and social structures. In the early years of the Republic of China, advertising flourished in China. At that time many advertisements used images of women Especially, when female images appear in some commercial advertising, they may contain some stereotypes of women. In addition, the female characters in these advertisements will subtly shape or define women in society. This article will collect typical commercial advertisements of the Republic of China that contain female images in China and interpret these advertisements from two levels composition and image expression. Moreover, this paper finds that when advertisements were popular in the Republic of China, the image of women in domestic advertisements have a positive image of independent women and a negative image of women as a vulnerable group appeared. The research on the images of women in the advertisements of the Republic of China is conducive to a comprehensive exploration of the factors that caused the images of Chinese women in society during this period and the impact of these images of women on society.

With the rapid development of new media, especially the rise of Weibo platforms, its influence on public cognition has become more and more significant. Taking the Weibo platform as an example, this paper deeply discusses the role of new media in public cognition. First of all, by introducing the basic characteristics and functions of the Weibo platform, it also expounds its unique advantages in information transmission. Secondly, the paper analyzes the satisfaction degree of the Weibo platform's demand for obtaining knowledge and information, including information diversity, convenience, and interactivity. However, there are also some problems with the role of new media in public cognition, such as rumor dissemination, information overload, and information distortion. This paper presents solutions and suggestions for these problems. The government and relevant departments should strengthen information monitoring and screening, and reduce the spread of rumors by providing reliable information sources. New media platforms need to take effective measures to improve the credibility of information, such as establishing clear norms and mechanisms for news publication and strengthening the verification of news authenticity. It is also crucial for Weibo platforms to provide valuable and influential content. Platforms should encourage the production and dissemination of quality content while reducing the interference of spam and low-quality content. Finally, improving the public's media literacy is also the key. Through education and training, strengthen the public's ability to judge and distinguish between media information, in order to better cope with information overload and information distortion.

This paper selects the first, second, and third chapters and some parts of Chapter Four and Seven of the book Teacher-Made Assessment as the material for translation practice, aiming at summarizing and analyzing the translation strategies of -ly stance adverbs in the academic text. Academic texts are mainly used to convey information and are characterized by professionalism, objectivity, interactivity, and conciseness. They are formal, precise, and concise in wording, clear in expression, strong in logic with many complex and long sentences. This paper analyzes three categories of -ly stance adverbs: epistemic, attitudinal, and style adverbs. Epistemic stance adverbs emphasize accuracy, confidence, seriousness, and persuasiveness. Translation techniques include grammatical adjustment and semantic enrichment, showing the accuracy of academic texts. Attitudinal adverbs are a means of value judgment and emotional expression. Their translations reflect the interactive and explicit characteristics of the academic text. Two translation techniques, namely selection of proper attitudinal words and split of sentences, are adopted. Style stance adverbs refer to how information is given. Their translations reflect the professional and standard characteristics of the academic text. Translation techniques of omitting -ly stance adverbs and using formulaic expression are adopted. This paper furthers the investigation into the translation of academic text from the new perspective of -ly stance adverbs. This paper is expected to provide references for translators and readers of academic texts, and to deepen people’s understanding of -ly stance adverbs.

The protagonist of this film is Mr.Tree, an over-aged youth, unemployed and mentally ill, who lives at the bottom of Chinese rural society. Through the subjective perspective of him, a marginal character in the society, the film reflects on and crises the social problems faced in the process of development and transformation of contemporary society under the domination of the patriarchal system, and this paper will discuss how this process is based on the dual identities of ‘grassroots’ and ‘male’. This paper will discuss how this process has caused irreparable damage to the fate of the marginalized characters represented by Mr.Tree, who is both ‘grassroots’ and ‘male’, as well as the inevitable social factors for this damage to occur, so as to analyse the plight of the underclass under the domination of the patriarchal system from a masculine point of view. The male survival dilemma under the domination of patriarchy is analyzed from a masculine perspective.
