This essay discusses the cultural assimilation and identity formation of free people in Roman Gaul and the Egyptian provinces. Through comparative analyses, the article explores how freed people navigated new social roles and developed hybrid identities influenced by Roman, Celtic and Egyptian cultures. In Gaul, the freedmen underwent a mixed process of Romanisation and cultural exchange that resulted in the formation of a Roman-Celtic identity, especially among the elite. In contrast, Egyptian freedmen maintained a strong attachment to their native culture, despite widespread Roman and Hellenistic influences. The critical factors of urbanisation, socio-economic status and legal constraints shaped the distinctive identity trajectories of the freedmen in these provinces, providing insights into the complex interplay between power, identity and cultural integration in the Roman world. Overall, the cultural assimilation and identity formation of freed people in Roman Gaul and the Egyptian provinces highlight the complexity of cultural integration across different regions. By examining these processes, we gain deeper insights into the interplay between power, identity, and cultural adaptation within the Roman Empire.
This study examines the impact of immersion education on the native language (L1) proficiency of adolescent bilingual learners. Immersion education, where most academic instruction is provided in a second language (L2), aims to foster bilingualism while achieving academic competence. However, there are concerns about the effect of this educational model on learners' L1 development, particularly during adolescence—a critical period for cognitive and academic language growth. Drawing from existing research on bilingualism and immersion education, this paper explores the balance between L2 acquisition and L1 maintenance. It emphasizes the role of home language support, school environment, and broader sociocultural contexts in shaping language outcomes. The findings suggest that while immersion programs are effective in promoting L2 proficiency, they may lead to a decline in L1 academic skills unless deliberate efforts are made to support L1 development. Key factors influencing L1 maintenance include the amount of L1 exposure, parental and community support, societal attitudes towards bilingualism, and specific classroom practices that integrate L1 use. This study underscores the importance of balanced bilingualism, where both L1 and L2 are valued, and provides practical implications for educators and policymakers to create supportive environments for adolescent bilingual learners.

In the CMG 2022 Spring Festival Gala, the stage poem "Only This Green" left a deep impression on all audiences at home and abroad. The dancers interpreted "Thousands of Miles of Rivers and Mountains" through beautiful postures and movements, which is the only work of Wang Ximeng, a famous painter in the late Northern Song Dynasty. This stage play perfectly combines traditional Chinese art forms and modern stage performing arts culture, which has caused a great response. Therefore, this study discusses how contemporary modern stage plays or musicals can increase traffic under the influence of mainstream media applications and explore whether there is a "link to promote the development of this art form". Different representatives of Chinese classical art are combined with modern stage plays, resulting in linear regression. In addition, the communication data of different applications is gathered together for research to understand whether adding popular IP or "links" can promote the promotion and publicity of modern stage plays and increase traffic exposure.

This paper discusses that in the process of commercial marketing, enterprises influence consumers' purchasing behaviors by constructing “pseudo-relevance”, to make consumers misunderstand and then go to spend money. The paper analyses several common techniques of constructing pseudo-relevance, and with the help of specific case studies, the study analyses the application of these strategies in advertisements and their impact on consumers' decision-making. Through analyzing the techniques used by enterprises for “pseudo-relevance”, and linking them with life cases, the paper further shows the far-reaching impact of “pseudo-relevance” on consumers. It is found that firms have successfully enhanced consumers' identification with their products through these tactics, even though the product's function may be unrelated to the advertised effect. This is followed by some suggestions and approaches for consumers to recognize and cope with the effects of “pseudo-relevance” in their daily lives. The paper concludes by presenting the limitations of the paper and a vision for future research in the area of “pseudo-relevance”.

The Ruian dialect, part of the Oujiang branch of Wu Chinese, is situated at the intersection of the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta regions. It is generally accepted that this dialect has eight distinct tones. Previous studies primarily employed traditional methods of auditory transcription, leading to discrepancies in tone values and contours, and lacking the necessary precision for an objective tonal system description. This study focuses on the Ruian dialect and conducts an acoustic study on speech samples from three generations of participants—elderly, middle-aged, and young—describing their tonal patterns. The study concludes that the tonal systems of the elderly and middle-aged participants are generally stable, with the following tonal patterns: Yinping 阴平(44), Yangping 阳平(331), Yinshang 阴上(35), Yangshang 阳上(14), Yinqu 阴去(51), Yangqu 阳去(22), Yinru 阴入(323), and Yangru 阳入(212). In contrast, the younger generation has seen a change in the Rusheng (入声), shifting from contour tones to falling tones, where the tone value of Yinru is 32 and Yangru's is 21.
Feminism and black equality are always common topics that society always cares about. It seems that the ill-nature of the people born in outdated regimes has been eliminated, but in fact, the thoughts and cognition of the regimes are still widely spread in current society. Thus, the research topic of this paper is to analyze the traditional form of the interpretations reflected in novels and to illustrate how they affect both people in the time when the novels set and people nowadays. The research method of this paper is first to collect and analyze previous papers about related topics and combine them with current social conditions to carry out research longitudinally. By comparing the People from New Year Sacrifice and The Bluest Eye, this research result is that the interpretation in the traditional society is still partially passed on and makes a great impact on people today unconsciously, including their stubborn stereotypes of some groups and kinds of behavior guidance to people.
