Abstract

In recent years, short videos have become the most important form of entertainment consumption in the fragmented time of Chinese people. This paper takes K-pop dance in short videos as the research object. Through qualitative analysis, it explores the characteristics of dynamic music, diversified movements, and strong control of K-pop dance in short videos, and analyzes its impact on the public's aesthetics, that is, abandoning kitsch performance, presenting a rigorous training spirit, and improving public aesthetics. Confident and wild dance performances resonate with the audience’s aesthetic appreciation. The full use and display of female physical characteristics reflect the aesthetic preference since ancient times. This paper aims to convey positive dance power, deepen the public’s understanding of K-pop dance, and promote the better spread of K-pop dance.
