This study aims to explore the transformation mechanism of cultural capital into flow capital in the digital society and reveal the internal motivations leading to the formation of digital stratification. This study conducts an in-depth analysis of Pierre Bourdieu's classic interpretation of cultural capital theory. Combined with the evolution of capital forms in the digital environment, this paper systematically demonstrates how cultural capital is reshaped into flow capital in digital platforms, thereby affecting the social identity and status of individuals. In the process of research, it is found that the differences in the paths of capital acquisition among different groups, especially the structural exclusion phenomenon in the operation of platform algorithms, have contributed to the solidification and mobility of digital identity. With the help of multiple dimensions such as economy, culture, politics and society, this study explores the social consequences of this class stratification, including potential threats to social cohesion and justice. Finally, the study proposes a governance path for building an inclusive digital society, emphasizing algorithmic transparency and responsible regulation, rationally redistributing capital, and focusing on the importance of cultural reconstruction, advocating transcending the logic of flows and achieving the return of value in an algorithm-dominated environment. The research results provide a new perspective for understanding class dynamics in the digital age and promote the deepening and expansion of relevant theoretical frameworks.

Adolescents globally face significant mental health challenges, with anxiety disorders affecting approximately 31.9% of this demographic. Concurrently, video gaming occupies a substantial portion of teenagers' leisure time, reported at 88%. While concerns about excessive gaming exist, emerging research suggests potential therapeutic benefits, particularly regarding games that fulfill psychological needs like autonomy. This study investigates the relationship between perceived autonomy within open-world video games and self-reported anxiety levels among high school students. Utilizing a mixed-methods design, 50 participants (aged 15-18, M=16.4, SD=0.9) engaged in a standardized 60-minute gameplay session of the popular open-world game 'Genshin Impact'. Perceived autonomy was assessed using an adapted Player Experience Inventory (PEI), while state anxiety was measured before and after gameplay using the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) Short Form. Results revealed a significant negative correlation (r = -0.45, p < .05) between overall perceived autonomy and reductions in state anxiety. Analysis of autonomy subscales showed exploration autonomy (freedom to explore the world) had the strongest negative correlation with anxiety reduction (r = -0.52, p < .01), followed by narrative autonomy (meaningful choices) (r = -0.38, p < .05), while immersion alone showed no significant effect. Qualitative insights from participant reflections highlighted themes of empowerment and escapism as key mechanisms. This research contributes to nuanced debates on gaming's role in adolescent mental health, suggesting that open-world games emphasizing player autonomy may serve as accessible tools for emotional regulation. The findings underscore the importance of game design features and encourage parents and educators to consider the quality of gaming experiences over solely focusing on screen time quantity.

This study takes the Tosa Nikki(The Tosa Diary) as the research object, analyzing the characteristics of the portrayal of female images in diary literature of the Heian period, exploring their epoch connotations and literary value. Through textual analysis, comparative research, and historical-cultural analysis, it reveals the three-dimensional image of the female protagonist in Tosa Nikki, the differences from the diary literature of the early and mid-to-late Heian period , as well as the unique status and value of Tosa Nikki within the diary literature of Heian period . The study shows that by adopting a female perspective, Tosa Nikki broke through the tradition of male diaries, endowing female literary with subjectivity and stimulating female creation in the mid-to-late periods, thus laying the foundation for the development of female literature. This study enriches the understanding of female literature in the Heian period and provides new perspectives and materials for the study of female literature during this period.

This paper applies Actor-Network Theory to analyze Lin Zexu’s translation practice in Ao-men Hsin-wen-chih, investigating how he constructed an actor-network to introduce Western knowledge into Qing Dynasty China. It demonstrates that Lin Zexu, as the central actor, mobilized both human actors—such as translators and the Qing government—and non-human actors—including the newspaper itself, translated texts, and anti-opium policies—forging new roles and meanings through translation. Rather than passively conveying the information from the source text, the translators acted as active mediators, adapting Western knowledge to fit the Chinese context, supporting Lin Zexu’s anti-opium campaign, development of military power and foreign policies while accommodating the translation to the ideology of the Qing court to protect the nation’s image and avoid political persecution. The study highlights translation’s crucial role in shaping China’s early encounters with and efforts to learn from the West, while offering a new case for applying Actor-Network Theory in translation studies.

With the rapid development of globalization and digital media, transcultural communication has gradually presented the phenomena of diversification and differentiation. This article takes the phenomenon of "a large number of TikTok users migrating to Xiaohongshu" as a research case and takes Xiaohongshu and TikTok as research objects to comparatively analyze the diversity and complexity of transcultural communication. Research has found that Xiaohongshu emphasizes the expression of community-based and life-oriented content, which has the characteristics of local culture and the function of identity construction. Xiaohongshu has effectively achieved transcultural communication and met users' personalized needs through the user generated content (UGC) model and community interaction mechanism. TikTok emphasizes entertainment and popularity under big data algorithms and adopts differentiated communication strategies for different countries. For example, there are significant differences in page design between the American and Chinese versions, as well as the diversity of overseas cultures and the ability to spread global cultures. Based on the performance of both in the dissemination of user culture, cultural identity and the transmission of values, it shows the trend of transcultural communication from one-way output in the past to the joint action of multiple parties now.

In an age where technology is rapidly changing how individuals interact with core issues, such as education, respective institutions need to embrace these trends. Today, learning a second language is characterized by shifts in artificial intelligence, contesting with the existing traditional systems. This study compares GPT-based dialogue systems with traditional word-list practice for second language (L2) English vocabulary acquisition. Based on a 2 × 3 mixed ANOVA and independent-samples t-tests, the study analyzed pre-test, post-test, and delayed post-test data gained from 60 participants (n = 30 each for GPT group and traditional groups). Findings indicate that the GPT group significantly outperform the word-list group with a greater immediate learning gains and retention and robust effect sizes. Analysis was grounded in theories of comprehensible input, declarative/procedural knowledge, and scaffolding, positioning the study as an effective advocate for AI-driven tools in language education. These tools can be integrated in modern L2 approaches, but effective adoption needs to consider their current limitations. The potential of GPT-based techniques reveal that stakeholders need to embrace these systems even as they maintain traditional approaches.

This study focuses on the alienation phenomena of fan culture in the digital age and governance suggestions. With the popularization of social media and the development of the entertainment industry, fan culture has rapidly emerged as a new cultural dissemination phenomenon. This study, through the literature analysis method, deeply analyzes the alienation phenomenon of fan circle culture, especially the phenomena of resource waste and consumption alienation, privacy invasion, and cyber violence. The research finds that the alienation process of fan culture evolves from the possession of objects to data production and then to cognitive control, reflecting the evolution of the relationship between fans and idols as well as the gradual loss of fan subjectivity. This phenomenon of alienation not only hurts the behavioral patterns and values of the fan group but also has an impact on the entire social and cultural environment. In response to these phenomena, this study puts forward comprehensive governance suggestions starting from three aspects: technological governance, institutional governance, and cultural governance, including the dynamic monitoring of fan circle chaos by using artificial intelligence technology, improving relevant laws and regulations, and strengthening cultural guidance and education, etc. The research conclusion indicates that by comprehensively applying various governance measures, the development of fan circle culture can be effectively regulated, the negative impacts brought by its alienation phenomenon can be reduced, and the positive development of social culture can be promoted.

In recent years, the cultural communication of museums is experiencing a paradigm shift from physical to virtual, from one-way output to immersive interaction. Digital cultural and creative products, as their core carriers, have restructured the perception and dissemination paths of cultural experiences through technologies such as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR). Based on the theory of sense of cultural commonality, this paper explores the influence mechanism of digital creativity on the cultural communication of museums. It is found that through augmented reality, virtual reality and other technologies, digital cultural creations provide consumers with a deep sense of immersion and good user experience through online immersive spaces and non-linear narratives, which is highly compatible with the mechanism of sense of cultural commonality. At the same time, in addition to enhancing consumers' cultural sensibility and cultural understanding, digital creativity also provides museums with the double effect of dynamic protection of cultural relics and global cultural dissemination.

Against the backdrop of rapid development in digital media, immersive theater has reshaped the relationship between audiences and performances by breaking down traditional boundaries between spectators and performers, becoming an important phenomenon in contemporary urban culture in China. Taking the immersive theater musical series “Star Space” at Shanghai Asia Mansion as its research object, this paper explores the characteristics of immersive experiences and the reconstruction of audience-performance relationships in Chinese musical theater within a digital media environment. Based on the “Uses and Gratifications Theory”, the study employs in-depth interviews, conducting semi-structured interviews with three audience members and three theater professionals, combined with literature analysis, to reveal the essence of immersive experiences and their impact on the industry ecosystem. Research has found that, first, close physical interaction in a physical space significantly enhances audience emotional engagement, transforming them from “bystanders” to “participants,” and extending emotional connections through the “stage door session” after the performance. Second, digital media drives “organic” dissemination through online communities, forming a “fan economy”-driven cycle of repeat viewership and emotional closure, but also exacerbating content homogenization and market segmentation. Finally, the industry faces challenges such as weak originality, overreliance on core fans, and talent shortages. Research has found that immersive small theaters need to strike a balance between entertainment and artistry. This article provides a new perspective on the theory and practice of immersive theater and offers optimization suggestions for the innovative path of small theater musicals in China.
