The Russia-Ukraine war has been the headline of the news since 2022. There are enough research and reviews to explain the historical conflicts between Russia and Ukraine. The research is to assess the potential impact on Russia in the times of the Russia-Ukraine war before understanding in different causes of the war. The global financial restrictions on Russia have already impacted its economy greatly. With the sanctions from USA, UK, and EU, Russia reacted back by restricting their energy exporting to these countries. This led to a surge in inflation for these countries, which rippled the rest of the countries. With many countries negatively influenced by the war and the sanction, the study is meant to explain the rationale behind the war and examine the cost for Russia. Using empirical analysis and secondary research, the reason was oriented in the historical problem between Russia and Ukraine although there are other modern political reasons that would mention as well. The report concluded that Russia is negatively impacted because of different types of sanctions from many countries while Russia’s core and rare natural resources allow it to be resilient in the war.

As children’s psychological problems become more and more common, many papers focused on the impact of different parenting styles on the development of children’s anxiety and depression. On how certain parenting practises affect the onset of children’s psychological disorders, there is dispute, nevertheless. This paper gathered various papers that examined the relationship between parenting practises and children’s anxiety, depression, and academic performance. The present study then analysed the key points of each paper, listed its benefits and drawbacks, and made recommendations for further study. According to most findings, if parents apply a harsh parenting style, there will be a negative influence on children’s depression, anxiety and academic performance. Though it’s possible that cultural variables still have a significant impact on the association between parental practises and children’s psychological growth. Therefore, future research should concentrate on the effects of various parenting philosophies on kids’ psychological growth within various cultural contexts.

In modern society, with the rapid development of technology, visual communication based on visual images is one of the most important ways of transmitting information. This study is based on the development of urban landscape from the perspective of visual culture, based on the reception effect of sensory vision, to conduct a comprehensive study on the historical and cultural changes of landscape displayed by visual images of urban landscape in different periods. Taking the Bund area as a research case, using the methods of literature analysis and content analysis to interpret the visual images of Shanghai Bund from the pre-opening period, the concession period, to the modernization period, and explore the historical change information conveyed by the visual images and the visual image itself, The history of technological innovation. The study found that visual images, as a means of conveying content, are more intuitive than text and discourse, and the development of media with the advent of modernization makes it a faster and more convenient mode of communication. As the subject of research, the urban landscape not only conducts historical and cultural research as a visual image observed by vision but also can react to people's cultural awareness, visual cognition, and aesthetic values according to its own shape and cultural core. Therefore, urban landscape development under visual culture interacts with the means of communication based on visual images. With the advancement of the times and continuous technological innovation, it will face more challenges.

This article presents a comprehensive synthesis of the literature exploring the role of working memory in second language (L2) oral production. It systematically reviewed nine studies investigating the associations between working memory and L2 speaking, focusing on research foci, working memory measurement, speaking tasks, and performance. The synthesized results revealed a positive correlation between working memory and language production aspects, including accuracy, lexical complexity, and fluency. Learners with stronger working memory demonstrated superior performance, particularly in complex tasks. However, some studies did not find a significant predictive relationship, possibly due to sample homogeneity, sampling heterogeneity, or task complexity. This systematic review sheds light on the crucial role of working memory in L2 oral production and provides valuable insights for language educators and researchers.

At present, China is facing the great challenge of an aging population, and the digital divide for the elderly has become a difficult problem that the government has to face. This paper adopts the literature review method, summarizes the previous research results, analyzes the difficulties existing in the governance of the digital divide for the elderly from the perspectives of the elderly themselves, enterprises and the government, and gives optimization suggestions, aiming to provide some theoretical references for bridging the digital divide for the elderly in China. The research shows that the negative perception of the elderly themselves, the incomplete transformation of enterprises to adapt to the aging, and the absence of government policies are all the existing dilemmas in this aspect of governance. Based on this, the paper puts forward the path of governance optimization: the family should assume the obligation of digital feeding; Enterprises need to enhance the sense of social responsibility and actively participate in the aging transformation; The government should improve the implementation rules of the policy and formulate corresponding laws and regulations.

This essay aims to analyze the specific application of Émile Durkheim's theory, particularly on suicide, in the field of sociology. The research objectives are to understand the role of social factors in suicide and to explore the insights that Émile Durkheim's theory can provide. The research method involves examining the Tianshan Gate incident, a specific case that exemplifies the influence of social factors on suicide. A comprehensive analysis of the incident revealed that social isolation and financial difficulties significantly increase the risk of suicide. This highlights the importance of social integration and support systems in preventing suicide. The findings emphasize the need for interdisciplinary cooperation in studying suicide, as it requires a holistic understanding of individual and social factors. The research concludes that Émile Durkheim's theory offers valuable insights into the complex nature of suicide as a social phenomenon and underscores the significance of addressing social determinants for effective suicide prevention. By understanding and addressing the underlying social factors, society can create a supportive environment that reduces the risk of suicide and promotes mental well-being.
